Carolyn began her career in real estate in 1982 as property manager at Julio Bogoricin Imoveis SA, a Brazilian investment firm based out of Manhattan and Rio de Janeiro. Early on she formed her own "boutique" agency working as an independent broker specializing in sales, rentals, and management of condominiums on New York's Upper West Side. When she moved with her family to the suburbs in 1986, she obtained a dual license, allowing her to work locally while continuing to stay informed and involved in the Manhattan market. Twelve years ago Carolyn joined the Irvington office of Houlihan Lawrence, shifting her focus to Westchester and primarily to the River Towns, growing a loyal base of local sellers and home buyers. She is a member of National Association of Realtors(NAR), Westchester County Board of Realtors(WCBR) and Real Estate Board of New York(REBNY). Carolyn has three children: Julien (age 26), Genevieve (age 24), and Philip (age 16). Carolyn believes in giving back, and supports many causes from the local Irvington Education Foundation to New York's City Harvest, to Doctors Without Borders and Amnesty International. Today, Carolyn continues to work in the Manhattan real estate market. As an Associate Broker with the firm Brown Harris Stevens, She finds that her unusual dual license affiliation positions her to offer good counsel to buyers and sellers moving between these two separate yet connected real estate markets. When Carolyn is not working, she enjoys all sports that keep her outdoors, including biking, skiing and tennis. An avid traveler and a lover of languages and music, she is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and conversant in Italian and French.
